Daria Polatin is the Creator, Showrunner and Executive Producer of DEVIL IN OHIO, a limited series starring Emily Deschanel that debuted at #1 on Netflix and spent weeks in the Netflix Global Top 10 in 84 countries. Polatin adapted the series from her best-selling novel of the same name.
She has sold pilots to FX, MRC, Paramount TV, and is currently developing a sci-fi series with Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuarón.
Polatin was a Co-Executive Producer on Stephen King and J. J. Abrams’ CASTLE ROCK (Hulu), where her episode “The Laughing Place” (#205) was named one of Entertainment Weekly’s Best TV Episodes. Her TV credits include two seasons on TOM CLANCY’S JACK RYAN (Amazon), HUNTERS (Amazon), HEELS (Starz), SHUT EYE (Hulu), and CONDOR (Epix). In film, Polatin was hired to rewrite UNT. COAST GUARD feature for Fox and 21 Laps Entertainment, and is currently developing a sports feature with basketball star Chris Paul. In theater, Polatin’s original plays have been presented worldwide, including her play PALMYRA which premiered at Center Theatre Group’s Kirk Douglas Theatre.
In addition to writing her next novel, Polatin is currently developing projects across TV, film and books through her international production company, 1001 Pictures.
